Which burial option is right for you?

Choosing a grave site often raises many questions: Coffin or urn burial? A single grave or a family grave with space for additional relatives? Would your family like to care for the grave themselves, or would you prefer a maintenance-free option? The Burial Type Finder helps you explore the available options at your own pace and find the burial type that best matches your wishes.

How it works

Answer a few short questions step by step, for example about the type of burial, your preferred cemetery, and grave maintenance.

Based on your answers, the Burial Type Finder will show you which burial types at Velbert’s municipal cemeteries best fit your preferences.

For each recommended burial type, you can see at a glance:

• the duration of the resting period or burial rights,

• where the grave is located and who is responsible for its maintenance,

• the applicable cemetery fees.
